The Wheel of Time: What do we know about it!

Amazon is busy with the production of another fairytale for the small screens. The Wheel of Time, A world inspired by mythology.  Ready to dive into the world of fairies!!

The Wheel of Time concept was introduced to the world by Robert Jordan through his fantasy novel of the same name. The concept draws influence from both the Western as well as Oriental mythology. The concept of Dark One ( from Islamic mythology) and the Creator (from Abrahamic mythology) as well the duality and the cyclical nature of things are all drawn from various mythological concepts.

Amazon Prime video in collaboration with Sony Pictures has planned to produce a TV series on the same topic inspired by Robert Jordan’s book.

When can the first season be expected?

Vernon Sander, the co-head of the TV at Amazon could not give an exact date for the release of the series. in January 2020 he confirmed that they were well underway with the production processes and they love what they have seen so far. He also added that”As you know, these big world-building shows take some time to craft. There will be news as the year advance on the series. But we feel incredibly optimistic about it .”

It implies that a little delay can be expected and fans will have to wait a bit longer.

What will be the show about?

The series is set in a magical world yet unnamed world. The main story continues on the Western portion of a continent. The series focuses on Moiraine, a member of all-female sorceress known as Aes Sedai. The series captures her adventures against the Dark One, the antagonist, and also the future of Dragon. The Dragon is said to be an ancient creature that has taken birth again. The dragon will either save the world or destroy it.
