The White House Plumbers: Release Date, Cast and more!

Created by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, The White House Plumbers is an upcoming political drama television miniseries. It is based in part on the book of the same name by Egil Krogh and Matthew Krogh.

On December 4, 2019, it was announced that HBO had ordered the five-episode limited series. Gregory and Huyck are also the executive producers alongside David Mandel, Frank Rich, Ruben Fleischer, and David Bernad. Gregory and Huyck were attached to write the miniseries with David Mandel directing all episodes.

The White House Plumbers Plot and Cast

The White House Plumbers is based partly on public records and the book Integrity by Egil ‘Bud’ Krogh and Matthew Krogh. The show will focus on the two political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy.

It delves into their backstories and shows how they came to be behind the 1972 burglary of the Democratic National Committee HQ that was eventually traced back to President Nixon’s administration. It shows how the pair accidentally brought down the very presidency they had been trying to protect.

Coming to the cast, we will get to see Woody Harrelson, Justin Theroux, Domhnall Gleeson, Lena Headey, Kiernan Shipka, Ike Barinholtz, Yul Vazquez, David Krumholtz, Rich Sommer, Kim Coates, Liam James, and Nelson Ascencio in the lead roles.

The rest of the lead members include Gary Cole, Toby Huss, Zoe Levin, John Carroll Lunch, Zak Orth, Tony Plana, Tre Ryder, Kathleen Turner, Judy Greer, Corbin Bernsen, Alexis Valdes and J.P. Manoux.

The White House Plumbers Release Date

The creators have not announced a release date for The White House Plumbers until now. For now, we can expect it sometime 2022 or 2023, although an official confirmation is awaited.

Principal photography for the series began on May 3, 2021, and ended on October 21, 2021. Filming began on several places like New York and further details are expected to be revealed soon.
