Created, written and directed by Mike White, The White Lotus is a satirical comedy-drama series created for HBO. The show was greenlit in October 2020 and filmed in Hawaii in late 2020.

For now, the makers have confirmed that The White Lotus Season 2 would be set in a different locations, even though further details are yet to be revealed. The first season’s setting played an important role in the show’s satirical commentary, so we can expect something same in the new season, possibly exploring the cultural impact of tourism in another country.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Mike White said that it would have to be a different hotel, probably The White Lotus: St Tropez or something else. The second season will be an anthology based on a group of travelers during their stay at another White Lotus property.
The basic premise of Season 1 was based on a week in the life of vacationers relaxing and rejuvenating in paradise. With each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.
Coming to the cast, we would get to see Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Tom Hollander and Haley Lu Richardson in the lead roles.
The White Lotus Season 2 Release Date
HBO confirmed in February 2022 that the production of The White Lotus Season 2 had begun at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, Taormina. We can still expect the new season to release sometime towards the end of 2022 or the first half of 2023.
The upcoming season might consist of six episodes like Season 1, although it is to be confirmed by the makers. Any other additions and major changes might be announced in the next few months.
