American drama streaming television series ‘The Wilds’ has been created by Sarah Streicher for Amazon Prime Video and follows a group of teenage girls who are stranded on a deserted island after their plane crashes unaware that they are subjects of a social experiment. The first season premiered on 11th December 2020 and was well received by the critics. Critics praised the performances, writing and plot. The first season has an approval rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and an average score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic.
The series has been a recipient of the GLAAD Media Awards nomination in the category of Outstanding Drama Series. The series was already renewed for a second season on December 2020 and now fans have been eagerly waiting for the second season.

The first season of The Wilds was released in the beginning of December 2020 and has been filmed in locations among New Zealand in October 2019. The Season 2 has been already announced in 2020 but definitely its hard to predict the release date of the second season and the major reason is the Covid-19 pandemic. But since productions have resumed because Covid cases have decreased a bit, we might get to see the second season sometime in 2022.
