Hello, Readers! Through Our Eyes is a new HBO Max series that teaches critical lessons about big topics that affect daily families from the perspective of the children. In this series, children who have overcome adversity tell their inspirational stories.
It’s a four-part docuseries that gives a human face to issues including parental incarceration, climate change, military caring, and homelessness. According to the directors, hearing stories recounted by the youngsters who are impacted allows you to see the world through their eyes.
It would be nearly difficult to create a documentary series about America’s youngest generation without acknowledging the one before it. One of the new series’ most obvious strengths is that it emphasizes the experiences of young people in America while demonstrating how intertwined they are with forces beyond their control.
From climate change to mass imprisonment to homelessness, HBO Max’s original docuseries is less of a policy primer and more of a reminder that action and inaction affect people who aren’t often given a platform to express their stories. Geeta Gandbir, Rudy Valdez, Krisit Jacobson, Talleah Bridges McMahon, and Smriti Mundhra directed the film.
