Top Boy is a British crime drama television series developed by Ronan Bennett. The series is set on the fictional Summerhouse estate in the London Borough of Hackney.

The first two seasons of the series were broadcast on Channel 4, but it was announced in November 2017 that Netflix would revive the series. The first season premiered on October 31, 2011, followed by the second season on August 20, 2013. The third season premiered on Netflix on September 13, 2019, and the fourth on March 18, 2022.

Top Boy Season 5 Release Date

The last part of the Top Boy story hasn’t been given a release date yet, but Netflix has confirmed that filming will start this summer. This suggests that it will come out in 2023.

Season 5 of Top Boy will be the last season of the show. No one has said anything about sequels, spin-offs, or continuations, so it looks like this will be the end of the line for now.

Top Boy Plot and Cast

Things that happened in season four left marks. As we saw with Sully all through season four, Top Boy has consistently shown how trauma affects people and what happens after their lives get crazy.

In the future, Lauryn will have to deal with killing her abusive partner and the father of her unborn child, Curtis (Howard Charles), while his mean sister Vee (Ava Brennan) will probably be out for revenge. Aside from his drug empire, Dushane also has to worry about his ongoing health problems.

Then there’s the fact that Sully ruined Dushane’s plan to retire by killing his planned successor Jamie (Michael Ward), at the end of season four. This caused another fight between these two people, who used to be friends and business partners but have since grown apart.

It’s hard to think that Aaron and Stefan, Jamie’s brothers, wouldn’t want some payback, which would put them in “the game” as well. Jaq is another person who might be ready to step up. Jobson told NME about her character’s goals before the fourth season: “I think she did” (used to have motivations to be the Top Boy).

Since then, a lot has happened that has probably made her less determined to move up the ladder. I don’t know if she still wants the same things now. I think she’s changing how she feels about people she used to look up to.”

Based on what they said above, Ashley and Kane will be back as Dushane and Sully, but the case hasn’t been made public yet. It’s also likely that the rest of the supporting cast.

Including Shelly (Little Simz), Jaqs (Jasmine Jobson), Stef (Araloyin Oshunremi), and the rest who will come back. Also, it looks like Ats (Keiyon Cook), Kit (Kadeem Ramsay), and Jamie (Michael Ward), who all died at some point during season 4, won’t be in another show.
