Tough as Nails Season 4: Release Date, Format and more!

Created by Phil Keoghan and Louise Keoghan, Tough as Nails is a reality competition series made for CBS. Phil and Louise are also the executive producers of the show along with Anthony Carbone.

The first season of the show premiered on July 8, 2020 followed by two more seasons on February 10, 2021 and October 6, 2021. It received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences and has been rated 6.6/10 on IMDb and considering that, it has been already renewed for two more seasons.

Tough as Nails Format and Cast

The makers have not announced any changes to the format of Tough as Nails. However, they might bring some changes and if that happens, they are expected to announce it soon.

Twelve contestants are tested in competitions at real-world job sites with tasks that test their strength, endurance, life skills and mental toughness. Contestants compete in 6-on-6 team challenges, individual competitions, and elimination battles, referred to as ‘Overtime’. Unlike other reality competitions, contestants who lose elimination challenges do not leave the game and still have the opportunity to win additional prizes during team competitions.

Each team competition gives the winning team $12,000 ($2,000 per member) and earns the team that challenge’s Badge of Honor. The team that has collected the most Badges of Honor by the end of the season receives an additional cash bonus of $60,000 ($10,000 per member). If both teams have the same number of Badges of Honor, then they will hold a tiebreaker.

The show has been presented by Phil Keoghan since the first season and he is expected to return as the host for the upcoming season.

Tough as Nails Season 4 Release Date

The latest season of Tough as Nails was released in October 2021 and it concluded in December 2021. Since it is a reality show, the making won’t consume a lot of time and considering that, the fourth season should premiere by 2022.

The fourth season might consist of ten episodes like the first three seasons and the rest of the details shall be revealed soon. The series is produced by Raquel Productions and Tough House Productions.
