Directed by Anthony Hemingway, True Lies is an upcoming action television series which is written by Matt Nix. It is based on the same name film of 1994.

Hemingway and Nix are also the executive producers of the series along with James Cameron, McG, Corey Marsh, Rae Sanchini, Mary Viola, and Josh Levy. The show was revived in May 2022 and Anthony Hemingway replaced McG to helm the pilot and the rest of the episodes. CBS then picked up the series and planned to release it during the broadcast season of 2022-23.

True Lies Release Date

The makers of the series confirmed that True Lies will be released on March 1, 2023, on CBS and Paramount+. It is initially scheduled to release on February 23, 2023.

CBS ordered a pilot episode for another attempt at a new adaptation of True Lies in 2021. Matt Nix was hired as the writer alongside Josh Levy and Flying Glass of Milk Productions as the producer.

True Lies Plot and Cast

The show focuses on a housewife who finds that her husband, who is a computer consultant is an international spy which forces the duo to save everyone and their marriage.

Now, coming to the main cast of the series which includes Steve Howey as Harry Tasker, Erica Hernandez as Maria, Mike O’Gorman as Luther, Lucas Jaye as Jake, Ginger Gonzaga as Helen Tasker, Omar Miller as Albert “Gib” Gibson, and Annabella Didion as Dana Tasker.

The guest cast of the series includes Carlo Rota as Francois, Beverly D’Angelo as Captain Spencer Trilby, Deneen Tyler as Mrs. Myers, Ray Gaspard as Lawrence, Christian Juru as Valet, Jenny Mercein as Professor Gilpin, Andy Martin as Mikkel Rand, Andrea Laing as Cherry, Liann Pattison as Donna, F ranco Castan as Taxi Driver, John Jabaley as Fred, and Jeremy Dean as Construction Crew Leader.
