Created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, Truth Be Told is an American drama streaming television series based on the novel Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber. The executive producers of the show are Octavia Spencer, Nichelle Tramble Spellman, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.

The series premiered on December 6, 2019 followed by the second season in August 20, 2021. In December 2021, the series was renewed for a third season.

Truth Be Told Plot and Cast

Truth Be Told is an anthological series, and it will be back with a completely different storyline. However, we could recap what happened in the second season of the investigative show. We witnessed Poppy being forced to revisit a case she was initially involved in in the second season.

Her past, however, catches up with her as she meets with a long-time friend Micah Keith. After Keith’s Husband is murdered, Micah has to turn to Poppy for help after all the charges of her husband’s murder are dropped by the police. We saw this strain the friendship between the two long-lost friends; Poppy’s personal life, including her marriage, may have taken the test of time.

The mystery anthology series will return for a third season on Apple TV +. The series, based on Kathleen Barber’s novel of the same name, features Octavia Spencer as podcast host Poppy Scoville, who endangers everything including her life to seek truth and justice.

The Thunder Force and Spiderman fans cannot fail to recognize the Oscar-award-winning actress Octavia Spencer. We expect her to be back in the third season as Poppy Parnell, the podcaster whose knowledge of crime sees her help the police solve murder mysteries. The other casts are yet to be confirmed by the official streaming network in collaboration with the producers, but we could expect a lot of new faces.

Truth Be Told Season 3 Release Date

The upcoming season is expected to premiere around October 21, 2022, according to several online rumours, despite Apple TV+ not having provided an official release date.

We could expect the third season to debut in parts in late 2022 or early 2023. Apple TV officially renewed it on December 7, 2021. We could also expect an increase in episodes.
