Updates On Agatha Christie Mystery ‘Death On The Nile’

Agatha Christie’s mystery novels have been amused and thrilled audiences for about a century. And now that Kenneth Branagh has decided to recreate the magic of some of her novels, the pandemic had to step in between and delay his latest attempt. How awfully sad.

Death On The Nile is an upcoming mystery thriller film based on the 1937 novel of the same name by British author Agatha Christie. It is also a sort of a sequel to Murder On The Orient Express that was released in 2017.

Kenneth Branagh directed the film while also serving as a producer along with Judy Hofflund, Simon Kinberg, Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon, and Kevin J. Walsh. Michael Green wrote the screenplay while Scott Free Productions, TSG Entertainment, Kinberg Genre and The Mark Gordon Company produced the film.

Death On The Nile: Plot and Cast

As famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot sails on the S. S. Karnak on the beautiful Nile across Egypt, his peace and tranquility becomes disturbed by an unfortunate event. One of the passengers was murdered and it falls upon Poirot to solve the murder before the killer decides to kill again.

Kenneth Branagh plays Detective Hercule Poirot, a famous Belgian detective who has solved countless murders and crimes, including the Murder On The Orient Express. Tom Bateman plays Monsieur Bouc, one of Poirot’s friends.

Annette Bening plays Euphemia Bouc while Russell Brand plays Dr. Windlesham and Ali Fazal plays Andrew Katchadourian. Dawn French plays Mrs. Bowers while Gal Gadot plays Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle while Armie Hammer plays her husband Simon Doyle.

Rose Leslie plays Louise Bourget while Emma Mackey plays Jacqueline de Bellefort and Sophie Okonedo plays Salome Otterbourne. Finally, Jennifer Saunders plays Marie Van Schuyler while Letitia Wright plays Rosalie Otterbourne and Ann Turkel plays Meredith Wilson.
