The movie is seReady for another Christmas Hallmark movie from Netflix? Well, this one has our beloved 60s and 70s singer, Dolly Parton, titled Christmas On The Square! If you don’t know who Dolly Parton is, first of all, that is such a shame (on you). Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman and humanitarian who has written more than 3000 songs in her career that spans more than half a century!
Fun fact for all the Whitney Houston fans out there: while Houston recorded “I Will Always Love You” in 1992, it is not originally her song. Dolly Parton wrote and released the song in 1973, which peaked at the time. However, it made its way to becoming a classic song only after Houston’s death.
Parton’s successful career led her to create Christmas musical films, the latest of which is set to be released this year on Netflix! What is the film all about? When is it going to come out? Is it worth watching? Well, keep on reading to find out!

Netflix describes the plot as such:
“Seasonal cheer comes to a screeching halt when a cold-hearted woman tries to sell her hometown’s land. Can music, magic and memories change her mind?”
Sounds very much like a Scroogian plot, doesn’t it? Well, everyone deserves some Christmas cheer this season, including our grumpy neighbourhood Grinch, and we hope this film will do exactly that!
Dolly Parton plays the role of Angel while Christine Baranski plays Regina Fuller. Treat Williams plays Carl Pellam while Jenifer Lewis plays Margeline. Josh Segarra plays Pastor Christian Hathaway while Jeanine Mason plays Felicity Sorenson. Mary Jane Haskell plays Jenna Hathaway while Matthew Johnson plays Mack. Selah Kimbro Jones plays Violet while Douglas Sills plays Jack Fuller.
