Virgin River is a Netflix original romantic drama based on the books of the same title written by Robyn Carr. The series is produced by Reel World Management and created by Sue Tanney. The first season of the show was premiered on 6 December 2019 consisting of 10 episodes. In December 2019 only the series was renewed for another season, and it is arriving soon.
Release Date of the New Season
According to the sources, Virgin River season two will be releasing in the summer of 2020. Filming for the second season was finished in December 2019 which is three months earlier the filming of the first season which concluded in March 2019. The filming for the second season was wrapped up before the outrageous pandemic outbreak of Covid-19. The official release date is still not announced yet.
A Cast of Virgin River 2
The main cast will return for the second season of Virgin River which includes, Martin Henderson, Alexandra Breckenridge, Jenny Cooper, Grayson Maxwell Guernsey, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Colin Lawrence. Besides the cast reprising their roles, the audience might get to see a lot of new faces that include Carmel Amit, Keith MacKechnie, Donald Heng, Steve Bacic, Melinda Delh, Sarah Dugdale, Lane Edwards, and Thomas Nicholson.
The Plot of the Upcoming Season
The initial pilot of the Virgin River follows the story of Melinda Mel Monroe, who answers an ad to become a midwife and a nurse which is in a remote town of California, namely the Virgin River. She grabs the opportunity to start a new life, but soon her past catches up with her and starts bothering her, if she wants to be a part of the Virgin River then she have to recuperate. Despite the troubles, there is a sub romantic plot in the series which sets it apart. The plot of season two of the Virgin River is not known yet as there is no official trailer dropped by Netflix. All we can anticipate is it will see some new twist and turns and will pick up from the finale of season one with new characters on the board.
