Vivo Nex 2 or Vivo Nex Dual Screen Edition is scheduled to launch in a few days and has been subjected to multiple leaks in the past few weeks. The smartphone today appeared in benchmarking site GeekBench revealing some key specs. Vivo Nex 2 bearing model V1821A will be the successor to the Vivo Nex that was launched earlier this year.

According to the spec list, Vivo Nex 2 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and will be coupled with 10GB RAM. Though the internal storage is not specified it is said to come with 128GB onboard storage. It is also running the latest Android 9 Pie, which will make it the first Vivo smartphone to come with this version.

From the leaks and teasers, Vivo Nex 2 will come with a 6.59-inch bezel-less front display and a 5.5-inch secondary display accompanied by a triple camera setup. The dual cameras are seen enclosed in a circular module while the third lens is placed right to it. The primary camera is said to have an ultra-fast f/1.3 aperture, claimed to be one of the fastest in the world. The secondary display eliminates the need of any front camera. With a simple three finger swipe, users can switch between the primary and secondary display.

For security, the handset will come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The real-life leaked photos leaked on Weibo by a user Ophone shows the smartphone in a purplish gradient and a bluish gradient color. The device will have a USB Type-C jack at the bottom and a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top. It is speculated to come with a smaller battery which may be due to space occupied by the secondary display.

The Vivo Nex 2 will be unveiled on December 11 while the pre-registrations are going on the company’s official Chinese website.
