The Vivo V15 was launched by the company in India today. Notably, Vivo V15 is the somewhat low specced and economical variant of the V15 Pro which sells for 28,990 INR. The design of the Vivo V15 looks almost similar to the V15 Pro including the gradient finish, triple-decker AI based rear cameras, pop-up selfie camera and more. However, there are certain changes. For instance, the Vivo V15 does not house an in-display fingerprint sensor like the Pro version and comprises a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

That being said, the main highlight of the show is the pop-up selfie camera. V15 is the third smartphone from the company that boasts this mechanism. The first phone was Vivo NEX  followed by the V15 Pro.

Vivo V15 Specifications and Features

The device features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. Underneath the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, clocked at 2.1GHz and coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card.

For the photographers, the device is furnished with a triple-camera arrangement with a combo of a 12-megapixel primary unit along with an f/1.78 lens. There is also an 8-megapixel secondary unit with an f/2.2 lens and 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f 2.4 lens. On the front, the phone comprises a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The unit pops-up when you shift to selfie mode. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as a substitute for an in-display fingerprint sensor as said earlier. Just like other Vivo devices, V15 runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with Funtouch OS 9. V15. It is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery and it also features dual-engine fast charging support.

Vivo V15: Price and Availablity

The Vivo V15 has been priced at 23,990 INR in India. It will be available in three colours including Royal Blue, Frozen Black and Glamour Red. The phone will go on sale in India on April 1 through Vivo India E-Store, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and almost all online and offline channels.
