Produced by Higher Ground Productions, Waffles + Mochi is a children’s cooking streaming television series. Three companion books were also released in 2021: Follow That Food! by Christy Webster and Sarah Rebar, Pickle Party by Frank Berrio and Sarah Rebar, and Waffles + Mochi: Get Cooking! by Yewande Komolafe.

The series was released on Netflix on March 16, 2021. On November 23, 2021, Netflix released a special holiday episode titled “Waffles + Mochi’s Holiday Feast”.

Waffles + Mochi Season 2 Release Date

The news of the series renewal comes as good news to all the fans who enjoyed watching the animation. Mochi’s first season was released on March 16th, 2021. The second season of Mochi has been scheduled to release on October 17, 2022.

Just like season 1, the second season is expected to have ten episodes each with a run time of twenty mins each. The episodes are expected to drop simultaneously, and we hope to see healthier and safe food options for all the younger generation worldwide.

Waffles + Mochi Season 2 Plot and Cast

America, as a country, has the highest number of obese children; hence the show makes an effort to highlight some of the nutritious meal plans that the kids should opt for. Their attempt to educate children was a success, as seen from the many positive reviews. Waffles and Mochi set on a world tour to become chefs and, in the process, teach themselves the healthier food options. Michelle Obama, an American former first lady, plays as the shop owner who is determined to encourage kids to embrace different food cultures worldwide. We see Mochi and waffles visiting other places and learning to cook with people of different classes; ordinary citizens, culinary experts, children, and most influential celebrities.

We expect most of their casts back for the second season. Michelle Obama will probably be back to carry on with her coaching role. Diona Elise voicing Magical, Angel of death actress Taleia Gilliam voicing shelfie, Andy Hayward voicing Piotr Michael, Piotr Michael voicing Michi, and Michelle Zamora voicing Waffles also expect Katie Leclerc to be among the cast reprising their roles in Mochi’s second season. Considering Waffles and Mochi travel worldwide to learn about different food and culture, we should expect new faces in the second season.
