Wasteland 3 is a forthcoming game created by inXile Entertainment and distributed by Deep Silver. Wasteland 3 now has a firm release date after a series of delays, and several trailers featuring story info, gameplay, and mechanics. InXile has been gradually revealing new information about the forthcoming RPG with the game set to release in August.
Release Date
In March 2020 inXile Entertainment shifted Wasteland 3’s release to August 28. Because of the current coronavirus pandemic, the developer cited difficulties from their move to a work-from-home environment. Wasteland 3 was expected to be launched on 19 May before the delay. It’s set to release for Windows, macOS, Linux, PS4, and Xbox One.
Gameplay
Wasteland 3 is a team-based game featuring turn-based combat. In the game, players need to make several decisions that will have various impacts on the game’s environment and the plot.
The game features a car that players can use to navigate the earth and store supplies. The main campaign can be played in cooperation with another player.

The game is set up in the post-apocalyptic Colorado desert freezer. Wasteland 3 is a sequel to Wasteland 2, introducing the Desert Rangers to the Colorado Springs area. Players play as the lone survivor of Team November, a Rangers team that was sent to the country to support its king but ends up cut off from the rest of humanity. Players may also prepare to face-off against opposing forces, and reunite with Wasteland 2’s as-yet-unidentified returning Ranger.
The game will also have a mechanic allowing characters to escape from near-death circumstances but inXile Entertainment has yet to thoroughly describe it. Wasteland 3’s greatest improvement is the updated dialog scheme. It’s now based on the 2017 hit by inXile Entertainment, Torment: Tides Of Numenera. The new system would feature branching dialog sequences with various options, based on previous in-game decisions and the skills and strengths of a player.
