Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday is an upcoming comedy horror television series, made for Netflix. Gough and Millar are also the executive producers alongside Tim Burton, Gail Berman, Kayla Alpert, Steve Stark, Jonathan Glickman and Andrew Mittman.
It is based on the character Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family and the series was announced back in October 2020. The series was ordered in February 2021 and it is scheduled to premiere soon on Netflix.

Wednesday Plot and Cast
The series will be a coming-of-age supernatural mystery comedy focusing on Wednesday Addams and her years as a high school student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her psychic powers, stop a monstrous killing spree of the town citizens, and solve the supernatural mystery that affected her family 25 years ago, all while navigating her new relationships.
Coming to the cast, we would get to see Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan and Georgie Farmer in the lead roles. The rest of the main cast includes Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Percy Hynes White, Gwendoline Christie, Victor Dorobantu and Christina Ricci.
Wednesday Release Date
Casting for Wednesday began in May 2021 and one of the actors, Thora Birch, left the show in December 2021. Filming for the series began in September 2021 and the series is confirmed to premiere in late 2022.
The new show is confirmed to have eight episodes and the rest of the details shall be revealed soon. It is produced by 1.21 Films, Glickmania Media, Tee and Charles Addams Foundation and MGM Television. It is distributed by MGM Worldwide Television and Digital Distribution and Netflix Streaming Services.
