Produced by Boardwalk Pictures for FX Networks, Welcome to Wrexham is an American documentary series. The show’s executive producers are Rob McElhenney, Ryan Reynolds, Nick Frenkel, John Henion, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Jordan Wynn, and Sarina Roma.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds announced the program in May 2021. The series debuted on FX on August 24, 2022. FX has commissioned two seasons of the show.

Welcome to Wrexham Plot and Cast

The documentary series will track the soccer team’s development and the adjustment period the club’s new owners go through. It is produced by the American television network F.X., owned by Disney. In the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham, Reynolds, and McElhenney. The owners of the historic Welsh club Wrexham A.F.C., follow the developments since their purchase of the club in 2020 as they work to get Wrexham back into the Football League.

Additionally, it seeks to investigate how these two well-known Hollywood figures oversee the running of one of the oldest professional soccer clubs. The National League, the fifth tier of the English Football League, follows Wrexham Dragons, a historically significant but formerly unsuccessful team.

The working-class residents of Wrexham, a town in northern Wales, are highlighted in the sports documentary. Along with the team and discuss their connections to the group and its history.

Reynolds has expressed his expectations for the documentary: “I’m excited for people to be introduced to Wrexham worldwide. For people to be watching this in Canada – where I’m from – or Philly, that’s pretty remarkable.”

McElhenney added: “I was talking to a few of the players this past week, and I said, ‘I think you’re going to wind up having a few more million fans next week or the week after than this club has had in the past.’ I love the idea of making Wrexham everybody’s second club in the U.K., or wherever in the world, and the U.S., the No.1 club.”

The show’s makers don’t have any hired actors in the show’s cast, but two of the most renowned actors in the business will star in it. However, they will be there because they are the real owners of the team Wrexham A.F.C. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny is the two well-known actors in question.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 Release Date

The first wight episodes of Season 1 were released between August 24, 2022 and September 14, 2022. The remaining ten episodes would be released between September 21, 2022 and October 12, 2022.

Since all the episodes of the series have not been released yet, it is confirmed that production for the new season has not started until now. We can expect that once a release date is confirmed.
