What We Do in the Shadows

Created by Jemaine Clement, What We Do in the Shadows is an American mockumentary comedy horror television series. It premiered on March 27, 2019, on FX.

The second television series in the franchise based on the 2014 film of the same name written by Clement and Taika Waititi, premiered on April 15, 2020, followed by the third season on September 2, 2021. In August 2021, the series was renewed for a fourth season, ahead of the third season premiere.

So, when is the fourth season releasing? What is the plot? Who will come to reprise their roles? Keep reading to know further details.

What We Do in the Shadows Plot and Cast

Kayvan Novak

What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 may be far away right now, but that hasn’t stopped speculation from growing about where the series will take its main cast of characters. Coming off its third season, the biggest question is how Colin Robinson’s very own rebirth will alter the series.

As viewers know, Colin was on a quest to learn about energy vampires when he was struck down at the ripe old age of 100. Now, the character’s baby self is a secret to everyone but Laszlo, who has tasked himself with caring for the newborn.

Meanwhile, the dynamic between Nadja and Laszlo could get interesting now that he has tricked her into thinking he is fine with her London move. Additionally, throwing Guillermo into that shipping container and coffin not only puts Nadja in a position of having to choose between love and a dream gig with the Vampire Council but also possibly ends Guillermo’s hopes of becoming a vampire himself.

The series has also treated viewers to an extensive lineup of supernatural beings, and it sounds like its next season could further explore that part of its fictional world.

Now coming to the cast, it includes Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch are all expected to reprise their respective roles for What We Do in the Shadows Season 4.

The episode count for What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 has not yet been revealed. However, the past three seasons have each consisted of ten episodes that are less than thirty minutes per entry, so, Season 4 will most likely also consist of ten episodes that are less than thirty minutes per entry.
