What You Should Know About Disney’s ‘Cruella’
Who loves Emma Stone here? Us! We are big fans of the Oscar winner who has played a range of roles, showcasing her as a confident advantage take in The Favorite, as a self-conscious actress trying to make it in La La Land and as a sassy love interest in both The Amazing Spider-Man series and Superbad. This latest role in Cruella sees her in a bigger physical transformation than most of her roles have warranted so far.
Cruella is an upcoming American crime comedy-drama film based on the Disney character Cruella de Vil. She was first introduced in Dodie Smith’s 1956 novel The Hundred And One Dalmatians. Craig Gillespie directed the movie while Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn, and Marc Platt produced the movie.
Aline Brosh McKenna, Jez Butterworth, Dana Fox, Kelly Marcel, Tony McNamara, Steve Zissis wrote the screenplay. Walt Disney Pictures, Gunn Films, and Marc Platt Productions acted as the production companies while Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures acts as the distributor company.

Cruella: Plot and Cast
The movie is set in 1970s London where a young fashion designer named Cruella de Vil finds that she approves of dog skins for her furs, which she insists on wearing all the time. The best ones she likes are the Dalmatian skins, and becomes obsessed with acquiring them, even if it means ruthlessly murdering the dogs who wear the skins.
She soon ends up becoming a notorious criminal who will stop at nothing to get her beloved furs, especially the Dalmatians. Emma Stone plays Cruella de Vil while Emma Thompson plays The Baronness. Joel Fry plays Jasper, while Paul Walter Hauser plays Horace and Mark Strong plays Boris.
Finally, Emily Beecham plays Anita, Kirby Howell-Baptiste plays Tabitha while Jamie Demetriou plays Gerald.
