Top Gun: Maverick: Plot and Cast

Tom Cruise plays the now Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who was a part of the United States Naval Aviation Team. He is now a test pilot and a flight instructor. Miles Teller plays Lieutenant Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, son of Maverick’s deceased RIO, Nick “Goose” Bradshaw.

Jennifer Connelly plays Penny Benjamin, Maverick’s love interest and a single mother. Jon Hamm plays Vice Admiral Cyclone while Glen Powell plays a pilot trainee called “Hangman”. Val Kilmer plays Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, a fellow instructor and frenemy of Maverick.
