When can we expect the Second Season of ‘Family Business’?

After the successful innings of the first season, the French comedy Family Business is ready for its second season. The expected release date is September 11th, 2020, if everything goes right till then. The first season was welcomed on June 28th, 2019 with six episodes. Created by
Igor Gotesman, the show got a green signal last year.

Non-English web series are getting popular day by day among the English speaking audience; Money Heist or Lacasa de Papel being the record-breaker, followed by Dark. And it owes to the fact of staying strong to its roots and the spread of cultural knowledge.

What is the Story?

Family Business apprises the anecdote of a failed entrepreneur, Joseph, who finds out that cannabis is about to be legalized in France. He consequently decides to change his kosher butcher shop, inherited from his father, into the first marijuana coffeeshop in France. Even though the storyline started a bit slow, it took up speed eventually and has a big development. The series has seen a quick turnaround for release given filming only started in February 2020 and finished up before the coronavirus paused all production across Europe.

The balance between lighthearted slapstick and familial drama is perfectly maintained. Sometimes the jokes might seem lame, but in the end, the plotline holds them perfectly. Some say that it’s not extraordinary, or even particularly memorable, but yet the show manages to put a smile on the audience.
