Destiny 2 is entering its 11th season, and beyond that, players are excited to see what’s in store for them. It seems like Bungie is ready to make the announcement. A trailer for what seems to be the Year 4 update momentarily went live on Twitter. Then another trailer went live inside Destiny 2, and now Bungie has publicly announced a big reveal set for June 9.
Bungie is back on the Destiny 2 promotion following a week of absence. A trailer leaked earlier, expecting to see the fall expansion next week, but it was soon removed and never reappeared. The teaser is not yet online, but a new one has made its appearance. And it’s a real treat, not that “spooky Pyramid tone” thing one had a week ago.
New Teaser of Destiny 2
The latest spot features The Drifter entering a docking bay on a truck and going for Europa. The earlier video that was removed instantly revealed that Eris Morn was going for a nasty walk across Europa, probably to explore the endlessly rising danger of Darkness. The brand-new teaser shifts to the Drifter, who hops in his path and heads Europa, possibly to enroll in Eris.
The trailer itself is just 15 seconds long and displays The Drifter. The enigmatic Guardian in charge of the Gambit, in a small plane. Players will see him heading into the icy satellite of a larger planet — might be Jupiter.

Eris and Drifter are two Destiny’s leading experts on Darkness foes that are presently trying to invade the Destiny world. So all of them coalescing on the same, small moon means that the Darkness War is coming early to Destiny 2.
The uncovering of this mystery is scheduled to begin on June 9 with the announcement of the expansion, accompanied by the launch of Season 11.
The whole event is only an hour away from the release of Destiny 2’s undisclosed season 11. It is currently unclear whether Bungie will declare the expansion in its regular documentary clip, as the studio has been working remotely due to COVID-19.
