Lionsgate is full of energy when it comes to Keanu Reeves. However, the speedy action is suddenly halted by the worldwide pandemic. Many of the Hollywood movies are dropped for want of time to produce and distribute. An addition to the never-ending list is John Wick: Chapter Four. Lionsgate says that the film is in its early stage of development. The sequel is said to add a feather in the already successful action cap. The previous movies are critically commercial successes. So there is a lot of expectation from the fourth film.

What is the cast?

Our favorite stars are returning to this sequel also. Keanu Reeves is reprising his lead character, ‘John Wick’. He is accompanied by Jason Mantzoukas, Asia Kate Dillion, Ian Mc Shane, Lance Reddick, Halle Berry, and Laurence Fishburne. We can also have glimpses of Angelica Huston and John Leguizamo.

The creator behind these successful films is Derek Kolstad. The ownership of the film lies with Summit Entertainment [Lionsgate]

What is the plot?

John Wick Chapter 4 is said to pick up from where it left in Chapter 3- John Wick: Parabellum. The plot of the action series revolves around John Wick, a retired man whose dog is murdered. He seeks revenge from the perpetrators as the dog is a gift from his deceased wife. The revenge continues revealing some dark secrets.

In the previous film, John is betrayed by Winston and he carries himself injured to Bowery King. There, the two join hands and will be working together to fight against the enemies. Their goal is to work against The High Table and The Continental. Fans hope that Chapter Four will be a culmination of this popular franchise. But who knows? Lionsgate can have other plans.

Since the film has not commenced its shooting, we have very little information on its storyline.

When will chapter four of John Wick be released?

Earlier, the release date was announced leaving out the pandemic fact. It was scheduled to hit the screens on May 21, 2021. But now, since the film is in the stage of development and not yet been shot, the release date has been postponed to May 27, 2022. It is about two years from now. Apart from postponing John Wick Chapter Four, Lionsgate has also released a worrisome announcement. It has also put off other films- The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Spiral, Antebellum, and released a new date for their theatrical screening.

The Production has given a bit of good news to Keanu Reeves’ fans. The actor has two spinoffs- The Continental which is going to be a television series and Ballerina which is going to be a film about a young assassin. Lionsgate has kept John Wick its top priority because of the success it gave back in 2014 [first installment], in 2017 [second film], in 2019 [third movie]. It is also important to note that in 2017, the series was also produced as a comic by Dynamite. There are two video games that attracted many young audiences- John Wick Chronicles [2017] and John Wick Hex [2019].

John Wick is known for its intense actions and adventurous cinematography. We must wait till 2021 summer to know what we will enjoy in John Wick Chapter Four. But Keanu Reeves is happy because his film Matrix 4 is hitting the screens on May 21, 2021, which will be a fantastic treat to his fans.
