The creators of Lucifer recently announced the release of the first half of the fifth season in the month of August and now they are gearing up for the second half, which was ceased due to the pandemic. Apart from announcing the date, there was a huge controversy around the negotiations of Tom Ellis for the next season. Oh! We also got a confirmed sixth season. So much news within such a short time.
There has been quite some information regarding the naming of episodes (like Family Dinner, Nothing Lasts Forever, A Chance at a Happy Ending, etc) and the new faces. According to ProductionWeekly, Lucifer is going to resume its filming from “mid-October 2020”. It also confirms that the half will be continuing its long history at being filmed in Los Angeles. But things are yet uncertain and depends entirely on the situation and condition of the pandemic. Things are even foggier for the new one. According to a fan theory, season 5 part two and season 6 could be filmed back to back.
The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television and tells the tale Lucifer Morningstar, who was thrown out of heaven for betrayal and lands up in hell, soon to leave for Los Angeles, eventually running his own nightclub and getting involved in a murder case which turned him into a consultant at the LAPD. The show has got a huge fanbase mainly because of the amalgamation of the Biblical reference and the Earthly human life flavor.
Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, Lauren German as Chloe, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan, Scarlett Estevez as Trixie, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda and many more.
It is really unbelievable that the series was supposed to be canceled after the third season, but here we are with the sixth season. Day by day, things are really getting unpredictable.
