Why could Captain America not lift Thor’s hammer in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

Captain America as we all know is a fictional superhero appearing in the marvel comics and movie. He wears a costume bearing the American flag on it and also utilizes a nearly indestructible shield which he throws as a projectile. Captain America was the first character from the marvel comics to appear in the movies. Chris Evans slays the role of playing Captain America with utmost perfection.

Captain America represents the pinnacle of human physical perfection he has the agility, strength, speed, and everything that would set him apart. but how much do we know about his weakness??

What could be the weakness of captain America?

However strong and swift a superhero might be there’s always a weak point for each one. Similarly, Captain America is that he is immune to disease and toxins.

But there was something in the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron which left a lot of viewers in a confused state…Captain America was unable to lift the hammer of Thor. According to the directors of Avengers: Endgame, Captain America could always pick up the hammer and chose not to lift it in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” out of respect for Thor.

Steve or Captain America could always lift Mjolnir, but once he started to feel it move he stopped and stepped back, pretending that he couldn’t. He has immense respect for Thor and also knows that to actually lift Mjolnir like that is not a game. But Thor saw Mjolnir move and understood that yes, Steve was worthy.
