Sources have stated that the original team of 2D Boy would return to World of Goo 2. The game has been already revealed and the game would also return the same physics-based platforming and puzzle-solving as we have seen in the first game. Certain glimpses of the game have been released until now and they feature waves of ooze that go down the hills and go up among gears, leading to intricate bridges and platforms to enter the empty areas. Cannons firing ooze have also appeared and the balls have some kind of goopy substance rolling the bridges and they are made of some kind of inky black sludge. The first game was released around 15 years ago and considering that the technology has changed, the game might feature some new things.
