World of Mazes, The Crown Jewel of VR Storytelling, Comes to More Platforms

Those who are already familiar with the World of Mazes universe will be happy to know their favorite story-driven VR game will be coming to more platforms.

In an interview, Kaveh Vahdat, Founder and CEO of RiseAngle, confirmed that developing World of Mazes for more platforms is in the works. Unfortunately, he didn’t disclose more about the specific platforms, but he mentioned that some High-End VR and Non-VR versions are in the latest development stages.

That means players could potentially enjoy World of Mazes on the Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, and HTC Vive. Mobile users on iOS and Android could possibly enjoy this fantastic VR title at some point too. For those who aren’t familiar with the title, World of Mazes, currently released only on Oculus Go, is sure to turn a few heads, but why?

What is World of Mazes?

World of Mazes comes to us from the great minds of RiseAngle, the developers and publishers behind a few other virtual and augmented reality titles. World of Mazes is an immersive storytelling experience like no other. It’s a storytelling experience long absent from an industry pandering to explosive first-person shooters, battle royales, or the same team-based shooters in another skin with absolutely no substance.

There is a large audience of gamers who yearn to return to the days of beautiful storytelling. They want to turn a game on and get immersed in a different world than their own. This is the type of universe World of Mazes looks to cultivate.

In a message, RiseAngle’s founder, advocating morally upstanding storytelling, describes the game this way: “World of Mazes is the game universe that checkmarks all of our criteria. It is full of unexpected mysteries calling into you to unfold them, it is super fun, has challenging puzzles, lots of in-depth characters, humorous conversations, and mesmerizing environments. It also gives you a chance to be a part of something bigger and become a better person, a more compassionate one.”

Players put on their VR headsets and get lost in beautifully crafted environments, deep and relatable characters, and a world so mysterious and vibrant they have no choice but to trek forward and see what’s behind every corner. Without spoiling anything, players will get to explore the different mazes in World of Mazes to discover its secrets through immersive storytelling and gameplay.

Instead of solving puzzles with no substance, players will find the puzzles help drive the story and help emotionally connect themselves in this fantasy world where decisions they make matter. Learning the different rules, collecting items, and solving puzzles while the player develops emotional connections with the characters they meet help bring a different experience to the gaming community that’s been lost for so long.

Engaging the brain and making the players think twice about their actions and how it will affect the world and the gameplay is something we haven’t seen for a while. Other games just have you load into a game and start shooting. Some games have given up on single-player entirely in exchange for multiplayer-only games full of weapon skins and other microtransactions. At the end of the day, who is going to remember a game they don’t emotionally connect with?

If you’re looking for a different experience, then World of Mazes is worth the time. To hear that RiseAngle is bringing World of Mazes to an even larger audience is an exciting concept, and we’re looking forward to more people getting to enjoy a fantasy world they can finally get lost in.
