Wynonna Earp: Plot and cast
Wynonna Earp, played by Melanie Scrofano, great-great granddaughter of Wyatt Earp, gains powers as she turns 27 to send revenants back to Hell. These revenants are reincarnated forms of the thieves, crooks and other outlaws that her ancestor, Wyatt Earp, killed. She uses a magic gun, known as the Peacemaker, that she inherited from her ancestor.
Many of the revenants she kills reside in the Ghost River Triangle, which is next to the Canadian Rockies and her hometown, Purgatory. She is recruited by a special force within the United States Marshals called the Black Badge Division because of her supernatural powers. She is assisted by people from the police force as well.
Wynonna faces many grey situations throughout the show, such as finding out that her ex-boyfriend Charlie is her half sister Waverly’s father. He was previously known as Julian to her family and comes as a shock to both sisters.
Wynonna has an older sister named Willa, who she tries to save from the revenants in Season 1. Willa was kidnapped by the revenants when she was young and Wynonna tries to save her from them. However, Wynonna is forced to kill Willa as an act of mercy at the end of the season.
