While the Xiaomi’s Black Shark is gearing up for the Indian expansion, it is also tipped to unveil the next gaming smartphone. Dubbed as Black Shark 2, the device has been in the rumor mill for a while and will reportedly launch by March / April. Notably, the Black Shark 2 has been 3C certified and is said to support 27W fast charging. Now, we have some fresh details about the device, giving us a firm idea of its specifications.
Quoting the Vivo iQOO launch, CEO Wu Shimin teased the upcoming Black Shark 2 on Weibo. He mentioned that it’s regrettable that the iQoo device is very similar to the Black Shark 2 in terms of specifications. However, he still expects their device to stand out.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Specifications (Expected)
Based on the CEO’s comment, the Chinese agency Digital chat station has suggested what can be expected from the upcoming smartphone. According to which, the Black Shark 2 might come with a DC dimming OLED display, accompanied by a thin chin by using COF (chip on film) technology (will be lesser than 5mm).
Furthermore, the phone will bear the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset bundled with liquid cooling for better thermal management. There’ll be a whopping 12GB of RAM, dual speakers for stereo output and pressure feedback vibrator. Interestingly, the handset might also bring in an in-display or side mounted fingerprint scanner.
Considering the above specifications, Black Shark 2 seems to be an excellent smartphone for mobile lovers. Nonetheless, we also have a previously leaked image of the device, giving us an idea of its looks. The image showcases a similar design language with dual cameras at the back. The color LED is also present besides the same. Given that the other Chinese players have already started capturing the market, we can expect an imminent arrival of the Black Shark 2.
