Xiaomi reveals upcoming MIUI 10 and MIUI 11 Features

On the Xiaomi’s official website dedicated to custom skin MIUI, the Chinese manufacturer revealed a list of Upcoming MIUI 11 Features. The company also disclosed the Upcoming MIUI 10 Features alongside. The listed features are expected to enrol as the part of the current MIUI 10 skin on certain Xiaomi’s smartphones. The rest of the features will be included on the next generation MIUI 11.

The developers working on the MIUI update the posts on the forum regularly to inform their developments. As of now, 28 features are being worked on while there are 35 features planned for the future. The post also includes a list of features that are being considered alongside popular suggestions that could now be adopted.

Upcoming MIUI 10 features

The Xiaomi developers are working on features like Dolby sound, improved memory cleaning, system-wide Dark mode, improved garbage cleaning. They are also focussing on giving an option for adjusting font and display size separately. Waking up the device using voice commands is another feature being looked upon. These features will be included in the current version of the MIUI that is the MIUI 10.

Upcoming MIUI 11 Features

Xiaomi has also kept a number of features for the next MIUI 11. These include functionality to delete an APK file after installing the app. This will help in easy storage management for users who install apps via third-party sources. Furthermore, we have a full-fledged children mode, shortcut for increasing screen lit-time etc. and cancelling option for sleep timer countdown sound in tow.

The upcoming MIUI 11 will also incorporate features like dynamic clock optimisation, and ability to add text while dragging the cursor magnifier. Moreover, the company plans for adding sleep reminder function addition of emergency contact information that is displayed on lock-screen.

The company launched the MIUI 10 in June last year as its new custom ROM for many Mi and Redmi devices. So, the next generation MIUI 11 is expected to be announced sometime around June-July this year. Notably, the flagship Mi 9 and Mi 8-series, accompanied by Mix-series and latest Redmi handsets would be the first to get the new update.
