Zealous Music Composer Spezzo On His Dreams, Inspirations And Challenges In Life!

Published

on

You never know when will the music take over your life and take a permanent space in your heart. There’s hardly anyone who is not attached to music; whatever mood it is, it has the power to wash your agony and sadness and replace them with happiness and hope. Such was felt by Canada’s rising music composer, Spezzo, a.k.a, Olivier Spezza, when he was a mere four-year-old kid. As far as he can remember, his life was always surrounded by music. Apart from being a music composer, Spezzo is also a DJ, settled in Montreal. He generally crafts Deep House Music and aims to put new and unique stuff into the style by using traditional rave effects.

Spezzo used to sway to Tiesto’s music as he began to gain name and fame in the field. From that time on, it was the kick-off of a wonderful adventure of building friendships and musicians with much the same passion and excitement who touched his life wholly. The music composer was highly inspired by DJs like Tiesto, Daft Punk, Beyond, and Beyond and Kraftwerk, the founders of electronic dance music we know of today. He began playing dance music without the thought of being a DJ or even a producer before but it soon became an obsession that accompanied Spezzo until around the age of 17, when he explored DJs like Avicii, Alesso, and Arty back in the 2010s during what is considered as the Golden Age of EDM. When he first learned of these renowned artists and that’s when he dreamt of going to productions and compose tunes just like his idols. Swedish House Mafia back in 2012 had full of life-changing aspects for him.

Talking about what makes his music stand out, Spezzo shared that his musicals are certainly a representation of what he can see and experience in everyday life- panoramas, countryside, cycling, walking or even driving. It does also affect his creative expression and the means of making albums by merely conducting great conversations with the right kind of people. Passion, vitality and emotions- the three ingredients of his impeccable string of chords.

Recently, Spezzo has released Falling, All I Want, and Anywhere You Go, which marked his unique signature style. The tracklist goes on with his dearest and special piece, Dawn. It is because this was the time when he had felt the most insecure as the song’s sentiments describe the way he felt the day he composed. Although when Spezzo wrote it, he felt ecstatic but eventually made him really fragile to listen to. Such is the power and spell of music, you don’t even realize what unwanted sensations it might carry.

You must have been hearing how life isn’t just a bed of roses, and when something magnificent is awaiting, the almighty makes your path difficult. Surely, God has it all planned, and hence, it was almost impossible to overcome his first hurdles. And when one chooses the way of music, the struggles automatically tags along. What matters how one stands up after falling several times. Frankly, Spezzo also didn’t have a life of glory and success 24*7. Failure is a part of the process and you got nothing but to embrace it like your family. It is important for an artist to not always live up to the expectations of the people and take care of their out-of-the-box craftsmanship.

Concluding with a piece of advice from Spezzo. It can be frustrating to enhance something or evolve anything from one record to the next and audiences will want you to be as successful as the track they heard previously. Be thick-skinned and do whatever makes you happy. By the way, there’s another face of Spezzo– he is a daytime kinesiologist and massage therapist. Quite interesting right? He does, without any doubt, show the potential of having his name on BillBoard, and time can only tell whether all the hardships are worth for or not.
