The new DC solo trilogy of the Batman featuring Robert Pattison and directed by Matt Reeves has delayed its release date due to production halts during this pandemic, but we are still hearing exciting news day by days. Catwoman, a role which has earlier been played by stars like Anne Hathaway and Halle Berry is now relaying its shoes to the “Big Little Lies” star Zoe Kravitz. Although the release of “Batman” has been delayed to October 21, 2021, earlier it was scheduled to release on June 25, 2021.

Zoe, the new member of the cast will join Robert Pattison as Batman, Colin Ferrell as Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Paul Dano as The Riddler among others (Already drooling, aren’t you?). As the movie will feature many action scenes, Zoe revealed her intense training as a part of the role.
“It’s pretty intense. We just started shooting a couple of weeks ago, but before that, I was in London for two months, just getting in shape, training, learning fights,”  she told Questlove Supreme podcast in a new interview.

Playing Catwoman can be hard as she is dramatically fierce and athletic, Anne Hathaway revealed that she trained for five days a week, with intense dance lessons and stunt practice.

As are the Batman costumes, even the Catwoman costumes are much awaited among the fans, the costumes play a major part in the “LooK of the character and for a superhero flick, a “costume first look” is like a trailer before the actual trailer. Oscar-winner Jacqueline Durran will be designing the costumes for Reeves’ “Batman”. Although the official look is not yet revealed, Kravitz teased the fans with tidbits about her costume.

“The costume has been an evolution, Jacquelin Durran, our incredible costume designer, has been beautifully collaborative. It wasn’t as though I came to set and she threw something on me. No, it’s been a long process and we’ve had many conversations about what we wanted it to look like.” Matt, our director, had specific ideas, so there were many fitting where we would change things here and alter things there. Recently we got to a place where we would put it on and think: ‘There she is. There is.’ It’s exciting. There’s no part of me that feels casual about it. She told Film Magazine. Regarding her encounter with the costume and her first look checks, she said: “They called me to set recently and I was in the outfit and I looked at everyone and it was so cool, I remember thinking: ‘Oh my God… This is incredible. This is such a cool thing to do.’ What they did with the costume is really exciting.”

Kravitz will be working with Pattison for the first time, Pattison has dramatically evolved as an actor, he entered the industry with “Twilight which was a hit, but a total acting and critical failure, after that Pattison has been doing some critically acclaimed Indie films, most important being “Good Times” and the critical darling “The Lighthouse” with the acting legend Willem Dafoe, he will also feature in Nolan’s “Tenet”. Kravitz, while talking to Variety, talked in detail about her role and working with Pattison, she said: “I’ve never worked with him before, but we’ve been together for the last few weeks, I had to camera test with him and now we’ve been training together and rehearsing together and he’s just a delightful person and such a wonderful, thoughtful actor. I think he’s perfect for the role and it’s going to be such an adventure. I’m excited to have him as my partner in crime and to be there to support each other because it’s intense. It’s going to be a long shoot and there’s a lot of pressure, and I know he has my back and I have his.

Batman releases on October 21, 2021, and we hope to see a film at par (or even better)  with Nolan’s  Batman Trilogy which garnered true critical acclaim and a mega fandom.

I do not hate people, but I despise their existence. Hi, I’m an actor, writer, poet, visual artist, a man of science and also the least favourite person in my family. Our beloved Hemingway, once said "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." I believed in this quote humbly, truly and faithfully, now I have Anemia. I hope you like my works and if you do then please tell the President about it (seriously, all we want is fame).
