The series has received positive reviews from critics and has been rated 7.5/10 on IMDb. It has been already renewed for a second season, which is scheduled to premiere soon. It is focused on the conquest of continental America and the meeting of two civilizations led by Captain Hernán Cortes. Throughout the show, viewers discover the story of Cortes and explain how the conquest of an entire continent was shaped by his character and charisma.

It is the first Spanish language series distributed by A+E, adding to which they said that it is a continued period of growth in the international scripted co-production and foreign-language space across many territories, cultures, and languages.

Coming to the cast, the lead actors of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles in Season 2.
