After the disappearance of Shanann Watts and her daughters Bella and Celeste, there were investigations carried on. On Aug. 13, 2018, Shannon who was pregnant missed her appointment with the gynecologist and did not show up for work as well. Her workplace friend Nickole Atkinson visited the Watts home in Frederick, Colorado, and couldn’t find the lady and her kids. She reported them missing to a local police station. The husband initially acted innocent and denied being involved in the disappearance. However, later on, he confessed murdering his wife and two daughters and hiding their bodies at the oil storage facility where he worked. Chris also admitted that he had an affair with his co-worker Nichol Kessinger.
Shanann’s body was found by the investigators in a shallow pit in the oil and gas storage property. The bodies of Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, were also found in oil tanks. In November 2018, Watts was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences, in addition to “48 years for criminal termination of pregnancy for the death of the unborn child, and 12 years each for three counts of tampering with a deceased body. “(Source-4CBS Denver).
