Baz Lhurman’s Elvis Biopic Starring Tom Hanks will Resume Shooting!

Good news people suffering from utter boredom! Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic starring Tom Hanks will resume shooting after a pause of almost three months. Approximately three or four months ago, Hanks and his wife announced on social media that they’ve contacted the novel Coronavirus and have been tested positive for it. Hanks wrote:

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

This was a wakeup call for the entertainment industry, which then started closing all productions around the world temporarily. Although Hanks and her wife had a speedy recovery, the pandemic at the time was spreading more and more. The film for which Hanks had been shooting in Australia was Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic. Hanks is playing the role of Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker.

The biopic is on its way to resume shooting now at the Gold Coast. Queensland Premier(equivalent to the post of Prime Minister) Annastacia Palaszczuk has revealed that she met with Baz to discuss when filming can resume.

“We want to ensure that this can happen as soon as possible while making sure that the cast and crew can operate safely,” she said last week.

She also explained that she has been closely in touch with Screen Queensland and Queensland health to develop a safe and sound protocol for films to start reshooting.

“Screen Queensland and Queensland Health are also currently developing a screen industry COVID safe plan that will be released shortly, paving the way for the whole sector to get rolling cameras again and crew back to work on sets,” she said.

Luhrmann’s film was closed temporarily as Hanks and Rita caught the infection. The new Elvis Biopic will show the ups and downs of the famous relationship that Elvis (played by Austin Butler) shared with his manager Colonel Tom Parker (Played by Hanks). Hanks is not new to military characters, he has played several military men in films like Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Captain Phillips, Sully and the recent Greyhound which releases on AppleTV+. The untitled Elvis Biopic will release on November 5, 2021.

Satyarth

I do not hate people, but I despise their existence. Hi, I’m an actor, writer, poet, visual artist, a man of science and also the least favourite person in my family. Our beloved Hemingway, once said "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." I believed in this quote humbly, truly and faithfully, now I have Anemia. I hope you like my works and if you do then please tell the President about it (seriously, all we want is fame).
