Developed by Gambit Films for Netflix, Blood & Water is a South African teen crime drama television series. The series follows a girl who transfers to an elite school when she suspects one of the students may be her sister, who was abducted as a baby.
The first season of the show premiered on 20 May 2020, followed by the second season premiered on 24 September 2021. The third season of the series was released on November 25, 2022, and it was revealed the upcoming season is under production.

There could be more tension between Fikile and Puleng, and their respective romantic relationships. With new faces come new scandals. With the introduction of Sam, Pauline, and Zayd, there’s sure to be more drama.
Blood & Water has a great modern take on how it incorporates societal and cultural nuances into the series. It also highlights the way tech and social media have affected human connections. Perhaps the next season will follow along the lines of these themes along with nail-biting mysteries, romances, and shocking twists and turns.
The cast members expected to return includes Ama Qamata, Khosi Ngema, Thabang Molaba, Dillon Windvogel, Arno Greef, Ryle de Morny, Natasha Tahane, Mekaila Mathys, Cindy Mahlangu, and Duane Williams. Meanwhile, Gretel Fincham, Katishcka Chanderlal, and Alzavia Abrahams will also return as they had more prominent roles in Season 2.
Blood & Water Season 4 Release Date
Production on the second season was delayed a bit due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, there was over a year between season one and season two’s premiere.
