As per the comics, the story begins with Daredevil’s secret identity being sold to the Kingpin by the drug-addicted Karen Page in exchange for her next fix. Based on the information given by Page, Kingpin then sets out to destroy Daredevil’s life.
As a result, Murdock is made homeless, broke, and hopeless. The narrative follows the superhero as he fights to find his path back to justice and get his life back on track. While this narrative appears to be a plausible path for the new series to explore, it remains only an assumption.
The studio will likely need to make some big changes to the source material, as the Born Again storyline was partially used in Daredevil season 3. Also, the live-action version of Karen Page is not a drug addict, so this major bit of information would be a big change for the character.
