The American comedy cop show Brooklyn Nine-Nine has officially announced that they would be returning with their season 8 in 2021. This year they got over with their season 7, ending with Jake and Amy having their son. Since Brooklyn Nine-Nine is known for their picking up real social issues and embedding into their plotlines, the next season is expected that they would be addressing everything happening this year, like that of George Floyd and the effect of the pandemic on the country. They would be keeping in mind about the portrayal of cops in popular shows since a debate upsurged regarding the rosy manifestation of the police departments. Terry Crews over a virtual interview said that they had canceled the previous script, and would be writing a new one.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine revolves around 8 cops and one administrative assistant and their shenanigans in the precinct 99 of New York City. Their effortless sarcasm and juxtaposition of humor and seriousness are what makes the show worth watching. They go on about solving cases, along with talking about real social issues. Each and every character has their own personality and all of them try to snatch the spotlight with their high character development.
