Chicago P.D. Season 11: Release Date, Cast, Where to Watch, and more!

Created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, Chicago P.D. is an American police procedural action drama television series. On March 27, 2013, it was reported that NBC was considering plans for a spin-off of the Chicago Fire. Deadline Hollywood revealed that the proposed spin-off would involve the Chicago Police Department and would be created and executive produced by Dick Wolf, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Matt Olmstead.

The first season of the show debuted on NBC as a mid-season replacement on January 8, 2014. On February 27, 2020, NBC renewed the series for an eighth, ninth, and tenth season. The eighth season premiered on November 11, 2020. The ninth season premiered on September 22, 2021. The tenth season is set to premiere soon.

So, when is the upcoming season released? What is the plot? Who will come back to reprise their roles? Keep reading to know further details.

Chicago P.D. Plot and Cast

At this time, NBC has not released a formal synopsis for Chicago PD season 10; however, we do have a more general synopsis for the series which will do for the time being:

Chicago P.D. is a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city’s most heinous offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders, and beyond.

Barring any unexpected departures this offseason, Amy Morton, Jesse Lee Soffer, LaRoyce Hawkins, Marina Squerciati, Patrick John Flueger, and Tracy Spiridakos are set to return for the tenth season of Chicago PD.
As of July, there haven’t been any new casting announcements for season 10; however, we’re expecting at least a few new faces might be making their way to Windy City this fall.

Chicago P.D. Season 10 Release Date

As confirmed by NBC, the new season of Chicago PD will kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c! The season 10 premiere will once again cap off the night for One Chicago Wednesdays leading out of the Chicago Med season 8 and Chicago Fire season 11 premieres.

It’s hard to predict the episode numbers of the upcoming season since the previous seasons have different sets of episodes. We have to wait a couple of weeks to get the confirmed formations for the tenth season.

Chicago P.D. Season 10 Trailer

Unsurprisingly, we haven’t yet gotten a trailer for season 10 of Chicago PD; however, it should be coming sometime ahead of the show’s return. We’ll likely have to wait until late August or even early September before we see the release of the season 10 trailer:
