Chucky Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Created by Don Mancini, Chucky is a horror television series and it is based on the Child’s Play film franchise. Mancini is also the executive producer alongside Jeff Renfroe, Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, Nick Antosca and David Kirschner.

The first season of the series premiered on October 12, 2021 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and considering the positive response, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Chucky Plot and Cast

The finale of Chucky Season 1 revealed that Andy and Kyle took down all the dolls, but Chucky was busy raising a possessed army. It remains to be seen if Kyle, who is presumed dead or is dead will make an unexpected resurrection.

Nica Pierce is also left in a precarious position since Tiffany amputates all of her limbs in case if Chucky regains control of her. Overall, the second season will continue from where the first season ended and the series has not bee renewed for a third season until now.

Coming to the cast, the lead members of the first season would reprise their roles. This includes Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind and Brad Dourif. Since it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.

Chucky Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Chucky was released in October 2021 and it was renewed for a second season the following month. The makers have officially confirmed that the second season will premiere in fall of 2022, although a specific date is yet to be revealed.

The upcoming season might consist of eight episodes like the first season, although an official confirmation is awaited. The series is produced by Pheidippides, David Kirschner Productions, Eat the Cat and Universal Content Productions.
