Created by Tom Miller, Sam Myer and Daniel Peak, Code 404 is a police procedural comedy-drama series made for Sky One, Sky Comedy and Sky Showcase. Miller, Myer and Peak have also written the show.
The first season of the series premiered on April 29, 2020 followed by the second season on September 1, 2021. It received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering the positive response, the makers have renewed the series for a third season.

Code 404 Plot and Cast
The developers have not revealed anything on what would happen in Code 404 Season 3. However, it will continue from where the second season ended.
Set in the near future, Code 404 revolves around a pair of top-notch investigators, DI John Major and DI Roy Carver. When Major is killed on duty, his body is transferred to an experimental artificial intelligence project to revive him. However, the AI lacks the crimefighting instincts of Major.
Coming to the cast, we should get to see the leads of the first two seasons reprising their roles. This include Stephen Graham, Daniel Mays, Rosie Cavaliero, Amanda Payton, Richard Gadd, Anna Maxwell Martin, Steve Oram, Emily Lloyd-Saini, Michelle Greenidge and Tracy-Ann Oberman. Considering that it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.

The latest season of Code 404 premiered on September 2021 and the series was renewed for a third season in 2022. Considering that, the third season should premiere sometime in 2023.
