Married at First Sight is an American reality television series based on a Danish series of the same name, Gift Ved Første Blik, which aired on July 8, 2014, on FYI and later, Lifetime (and later, Lifetime). The eleventh season debuted on July 15, 2020 after a kick-off and match-making special on July 8, 2020.

Love at First Sight Plot and Production:
The series aired for the first time on FYI in the United States. Starting from season two, it aired in simulcast on the A&E sister network.
The series features three to five couples, partnered by relationship specialists, who plan to marry when they first meet. For the first three seasons, the specialists featured clinical psychologist Dr. Joseph Cilona, sexologist Dr. Logan Levkoff, sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz and humanist chaplain Greg Epstein.
Starting in the fourth season, the experts were Schwartz, pastor and marital counsellor Calvin Roberson, and communication and relationship consultant Rachel DeAlto. Rachel DeAlto was replaced by Dr. Jessica Griffin, starting in the sixth season. Dr. Griffin lasted until the ninth season, succeeding Dr. Viviana Coles in the tenth and eleventh seasons.
The couples spend their wedding night in the hotel before they depart for a honeymoon. Upon going home, they’re staying together as a married couple for the balance of the eight weeks. After that, they have to choose to divorce or remain together. FYI revived the show for the fifth season on October 25, 2016. In 2017, for its fifth season, the show moved to the Lifetime sister network.
