Fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise, fasten your seatbelts! Fast and The Furious 9 is coming, and it is coming soon. It was thought that F8 will be the last movie in the franchise, but the makers of the famous franchise had other plans. There will be two more additions to the Fast and The Furious franchise, and that too within the next two years!
Plot of the film
After the events in The Fate of The Furious, Dominic Toretto and his wife Letty Ortiz, now must face Dominic’s brother, Jakob Toretto, who has allied with an old enemy of Dom, Cipher. Cast Details and Release Date
Neil H. Moritz is the producer of the film and Justin Lin returns as director of the film. Justin Lin previously directed the sixth film in the franchise, Fast and The Furious 6. Vin Diesel returns to his role of former criminal and now retired professional street racer, Dominic Toretto. Michelle Rodriguez also reprises her role as Dominic’s wife, Letty Ortiz. Other members of the famous team also return to their roles in the ninth Fast and The Furious film. Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, all reprise their respective roles. Charlize Theron also returns to her role of the antagonist in the film, Cipher.
WWE Superstar John Cena joins the cast as Dom’s brother, Jakob Toretto. Jakob teams up with Cipher in the film, to extract his revenge from his brother.
Fast and The Furious 9 is slated to release on April 2, 2021. It was earlier scheduled to release in May, 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the postponement of the film. Soon after the ninth film is released, the tenth film, currently called Fast and the Furious 10 will also hit the theatres on a tentative release date of April 2, 2020. Fast and The Furious 10 will supposedly be the last film in the Fast and The Furious franchise.
