Created by Chris Sheridan, Resident Alien is a science fiction mystery comedy-drama series made for Syfy. Sheridan is also the executive producer alongside Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, David Dobkin, and Robert Duncan McNeill.
The first season of the series premiered on January 27, 2021, followed by the second season on January 26, 2022. It received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering the positive response, the makers have renewed the series for a third season.

Resident Alien Plot and Cast
In Season 2, Harry is stranded on Earth and he has to deal with the impact of failing his people’s objective to wipe off the human race. The second season picks up after the unexpected Asta made to save Harry’s life.
They have to deal with the emotional aftermath of the previous evening while also searching for the alien infant, leading to major epiphanies for each of them. While Darcy faces the challenge of a lifetime, Ben and Kate try to seel Patience on a new resort, and Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv investigate an important case.
Coming to the cast, the leads of the first two seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Judah Prehn, and Elizabeth Bowen.
Resident Alien Season 3 Release Date
The latest season of the series premiered in January this year and the second half of the season this month. Considering everything, the third season should premiere sometime in 2024.
The number of episodes for the upcoming season is not confirmed as it has been different in the first two. The show is produced by Jocko Productions, Amblin Television, Dark Horse Entertainment, and Universal Content Productions.
