Developed and published by Aether Studios, Rivals 2 is an upcoming platform fighting game that serves as a sequel to Rivals of Aether (2017). Compared to the previous installments, this can be played in both 2.5D and 3D models. Mechanics have also been included alongside the ability to protect and grab certain things.
Certain important characters from Rivals of Aether are also being added like Rivals 2. This includes Zetterburn, Ranno, Wrastor, Kragg and Maypul. A new character is also being introduced and his name is Feet. However, he has been spotted previously in the spinoff Dungeons of Aether.

Rivals 2 Gameplay
Rivals 2 is going to be a bit different compared to the previous entry, Rivals of Aether. It will be available for 2.5D and 3D models, adding a lot of exciting things for the gamers. The developers have also added a lot of mechanics, which includes saving yourself from the incoming attacks and grabbing the rest of the characters even with a shield. There will be the option of a short attack or a slower attack, which can be stronger with a different effect for all the characters. There will be other mechanics like grabbing ledges and attacking while hanging alongside attacking if you are knocked down. Parries will also be added like the previous installment.
Rivals 2 Release Date
The game is supposed to bring more improvement to the content and it is going to appeal more to the competitive players. Various other mechanics have also been included to make it a perfect choice for expert players. The game was announced in April 2022 and is scheduled to be released in 2024 for different platforms. A beta version will be released before that in 2023.
