Based on the 1975 television series of the same name by Robert Hamner, S.W.A.T. is an American action drama television series. Developed by Rick Husky, Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, and Shawn Ryan, the series premiered on November 2, 2017, on CBS.
Produced by Original Film, CBS Studios, and Sony Pictures Television, the series’s second season was released on September 27, 2018, followed by the third and fourth on October 2, 2019, and November 11, 2020. The sixth season premiered on October 7, 2022, and it has been renewed for a seventh season which will be released soon.

The makers have not shared anything regarding the plot of S.W.A.T. Season 7 but it is expected that the new season will continue from where the last season ended.

S.W.A.T. Season 7 Release Date
CBS confirmed that S.W.A.T. Season 6 will be the last season of the series on May 5, 2023, but after a few days, they changed their minds and renewed the series for a seventh season, and is also confirmed that it will be the final season of the series. Since the series is renewed recently so, it is very soon to ask for a release date for it.
It is also expected that the new season might be also consist of 22 episodes like the two previous seasons but an official announcement is yet to be confirmed it. The series is produced by MiddKid Productions, Kansas Art Productions, Sony Pictures Television Studios, CBS Studios, Perfect Storm Entertainment, and Original Film.
