The show is based on the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, starring Devrim Lingnau in the title role, and Philip Froissant as Emperor Franz Joseph. The Empress Plot and Cast
The basic premise of the show focuses on Sixteen-year-old Bavarian duchess Elisabeth “Sisi”, who falls in love with her sister’s intended fiancé Emperor Franz Joseph and they marry. Elisabeth has moved to Vienna and finds herself navigating the complexity of court politics and her husband’s scheming family. The second season is expected to pick up the story from where it left off in the previous season.
