The teen dramedy features the storyline of a total of three books of the same. The second season was an adaptation of the second book and the third will be the final book adaptation. The story takes a gap of two years and Belly will be making her last choice between Conrad and Jeremiah. The series will be bringing a few changes in the adaptation so that a few twists can be added in the upcoming season.

The second installment of The Summer I Turned Pretty was released on Friday, July 14, 2023, and will be concluded on August 18, 2023. On August 3, 2023, ahead of the second season finale, the makers renewed the series for a third season which will consist of 10 episodes.
