Created by Steve Blackman, The Umbrella Academy is an American superhero streaming television series based on the comic book series of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. It revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an imminent apocalypse.
The first season was released on Netflix on February 15, 2019. That same month, the series was renewed for a second season, which was released on July 31, 2020. Both seasons received positive reviews from critics. The third season was released on June 22, 2022, and it has been already renewed for a fourth season.

The Umbrella Academy Plot and Cast
The makers have not exactly revealed what will happen in Season 4. But we can be assured about a fact that it will continue from where the third season ended.
In the third season, the siblings realize their actions in the past created a new timeline, and returning to 2019 is vastly different where they have been replaced by another Hargreeves superhero group adopted by Reginald, dubbed “The Sparrow Academy”. They also have to find a way to stop a kugelblitz from consuming and destroying the universe created as a result of the grandfather paradox the siblings caused through their time travel.
The main cast members who would be back for Season 4 include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castenada, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, and Rita Arya. Since it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.
The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Release Date
The third season of The Umbrella Academy was released on June 22, 2022, and it was renewed for a fourth season in August 2022. However, it is confirmed that the fourth season is releasing sometime in 2024.
Just like Seasons 1 and 2, there were 10 episodes in Season 3 and it might be the same in Season 4. The series is distributed by NBCUniversal Television Distribution and Netflix.
